      Sumerian has released a trailer for the Sundance award-winning comedy-drama The Incomer. Penned and helmed by Louis Paxton, the film centers on Daniel, an uneasy council official given the responsibility of evicting the peculiar siblings Isla and Sandy from a supposedly uninhabited small Scottish island, where they have been living in solitude for 30 years.

      The cast features Domhnall Gleeson, Gayle Rankin, Grant O’Rourke, Emun Elliott, Michelle Gomez, and John Hannah. You can watch the trailer below.

      The Incomer presents a contemporary folk fairy tale set on a secluded Scottish island, where two siblings sustain themselves by hunting seabirds, recounting tales from their ancestors, and protecting their land from dreaded ‘Incomers.’ Their lives take a dramatic turn with the arrival of a clumsy council worker who aims to displace them from their home on the government’s behalf.

      The film is set to hit theaters on September 25th.
