      The Stunt Driver is poised to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September, with IFC releasing a trailer for the biographical comedy. Inspired by the 1981 documentary The Devil at Your Heels, the film follows Canadian daredevil Ken Carter (Jay Baruchel) as he endeavors to make a mile-long leap across the St. Lawrence River. Directed by Michael Dowse (Stuber, Trap House), the cast features Jay Baruchel, Laurence Leboeuf, Dan Bakkedahl, Ben Foster, and Ed Helms. You can watch the trailer below.

      Set in the mid-1970s, THE STUNT DRIVER tells the true story of Canada’s Ken Carter (Jay Baruchel), a world champion stunt driver who confronts personal struggles and public skepticism to undertake what many deem impossible – a mile-long jump across the St. Lawrence River in a rocket car. The Stunt Driver is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 25th.
