The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has released a trailer for season 3, along with announcements of new cast members.

      The first trailer for the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was released today at San Diego Comic-Con, hinting at Sauron’s pursuit to create the One Ring and dominate Middle-earth, as uneasy alliances form to thwart his ambition of complete control.

      After revealing characters such as Jamie Campbell Bower as Galadriel’s long-lost husband Celeborn and Zubin Varla as Khamûl the Easterling earlier, it was also announced in the panel that Eddie Marsan will portray Thrain, King Durin IV’s elder brother, Andrew Richardson will take on the role of Elendil’s son Anarion, and Adam Young has been cast as the enigmatic Orc Marnûkh. Additionally, Simon Pegg will lend his voice to the fiery Balrog. You can watch the trailer below…

      In Season Three, Middle-earth is engulfed in war. Five years have passed since the fall of Eregion. Sauron’s forces have swept across the world, conquering everything in their way.
