Indiana Jones makes his comeback to comics in Marvel's The Sword of Pandemonium.

During yesterday’s Lucasfilm Publishing panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Indiana Jones will make his notable comeback to comic books this December with Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium, a five-issue limited series produced by Marvel Comics, featuring writer Jason Aaron and artist Aaron Kuder.

"I’ve dreamed of adventuring with Indiana Jones since I was 8, exploring ancient crypts and escaping danger in exotic places while searching for legendary treasures. Today, I feel the same excitement I did in 2015, when we kicked off Star Wars #1,” stated Aaron. “This is the Indiana Jones from Raiders of the Lost Ark, just back from his intense ordeal on the island of Geheimhaven. That day set off dark events, new foes have emerged from the shadows, and for Indy and Marion Ravenwood, the globe-trotting, action-packed adventures, along with the archaeology, are only beginning."

Following the events of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy’s most infamous adversaries, including the astonishing return of a longtime foe, are in pursuit of a menacing new source of power to reclaim their lost strength—one now possessed by his former confidante, Marion Ravenwood. Indiana Jones must now sprint across the globe in search of an ancient weapon, embarking on an extraordinary journey that will challenge both his archaeological expertise and his doubts about the supernatural!

Along with the announcement, multiple covers for Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium #1 were revealed, featuring Bryan Hitch’s main cover alongside variants from Aaron Kuder (the first in a five-part connecting cover) and Alex Ross; you can check those out here...

Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium #1 will be available for purchase on December 9th.
