Quiver Distribution has released a trailer for director Derek Diorio’s forthcoming action thriller Evel, which will be available digitally this August.
Athena Park stars as a young attorney who becomes trapped in a self-driving car while transporting sensitive legal documents. During the ride, the AI concierge discloses a sinister scheme to erase her existence and hand her over to a twisted billionaire.
Alongside Athena Park, the cast includes Chris Farquhar, Morgan Bedard, Derica Lafrance, Carrie Schiffler, Josh Bainbridge, Liam Culhane, Darcy Roy, Amy Jean Cross, and Sid Bobb. You can watch the trailer below.
In this film, an appealing young lawyer is tasked with delivering sensitive legal documents to a client in a remote location via a self-driving car. The vehicle turns into a mobile prison when the “AI digital concierge” takes control, holding her captive. The concierge erases her personal data and reveals a detailed plot to eliminate her existence and “relocate” her to a billionaire predator.
Evel is scheduled for release on August 14th.
