Kit Connor from Heartstopper is reportedly set to play Cyclops in Marvel's X-Men reboot.

      Following the announcement that Marvel Studios has cast Samara Weaving as Emma Frost in its X-Men reboot, reports now suggest that Kit Connor, known for his role in Heartstopper, is likely to be joining Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters as Scott Summers, a.k.a. Cyclops, the field leader of the mutant superhero team.

      Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and director Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*) reportedly held auditions for various roles in the X-Men film over the past month, with Connor ultimately securing the role of Cyclops. He will be following in the footsteps of James Marsden and Tye Sheridan, both of whom previously portrayed the character in Fox's X-Men films (with the former returning this December in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday).

      While the castings of Connor and Weaving have not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, the ensemble for the X-Men reboot appears to be rapidly forming after the introduction of Sadie Sink from Stranger Things as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Speculation is rife that Marvel may reveal the film's line-up at this month’s Disney D23 Expo, scheduled for next weekend (August 14th – 16th).

      The X-Men reboot is set to launch the new ‘Saga’ of the MCU following Avengers: Secret Wars and will likely join the recently announced Ghost Rider and Black Panther III as part of Marvel’s theatrical releases for 2028.
