Kit Connor, known for his role in Heartstopper, is reportedly cast as Cyclops in the reboot of Marvel's X-Men.

      Following the announcement that Marvel Studios has chosen Samara Weaving for the role of Emma Frost in the X-Men reboot, reports now indicate that Kit Connor, known for his role in Heartstopper, is set to join Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters as Scott Summers, a.k.a. Cyclops, the field leader of the mutant superhero team.

      Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and director Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*) reportedly auditioned several actors for parts in the X-Men film over the past month, with Connor ultimately being selected for the role of Cyclops. This casting means he will take on a role previously played by James Marsden and Tye Sheridan in Fox’s X-Men films (the former is also set to reprise his role this December in Avengers: Doomsday).

      While neither Connor nor Weaving’s casting has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, the cast of the X-Men reboot seems to be forming rapidly after the introduction of Stranger Things star Sadie Sink as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Speculation suggests that Marvel may officially reveal the film's cast during this month’s Disney D23 Expo, scheduled for next weekend (August 14th – 16th).

      The X-Men reboot is anticipated to launch a new ‘Saga’ of the MCU following Avengers: Secret Wars and will likely be among Marvel’s theatrical releases for 2028 alongside the recently announced Ghost Rider and Black Panther III.
