Sony Pictures Classics has released a trailer for the upcoming crime drama, The Only Living Pickpocket in New York, written and directed by Noah Segan.
John Turturro stars as Harry, an older pickpocket struggling to survive in New York amidst the decline of traditional crime as society shifts toward digital payments and easily canceled credit cards. However, when he accidentally steals a valuable USB stick, he becomes the target of a violent crime family and must find a way to retrieve it before it's too late.
The cast also includes Giancarlo Esposito, Will Price, Tatiana Maslany, Victoria Moroles, Steve Buscemi, and Jamie Lee Curtis. You can watch the trailer below…
Harry Lehman (John Turturro) is a seasoned pickpocket facing diminishing returns in a drastically different New York. Cash-filled wallets have been substituted with easily canceled credit cards, and Harry finds it challenging to support his disabled wife, Rosie. When he inadvertently steals and sells a valuable USB stick, he enters a race against time to return it or confront the wrath of a vengeful crime family.
The Only Living Pickpocket in New York is set to hit theaters in October.
