A DMT experience turns into a nightmare in the trailer for Dementium.

      Freestyle Digital Media has released a trailer for Dementium, an independent psychological horror-thriller directed by Mark Wilson Sunderland. The film follows a man who attempts to confront his deceased father through DMT, leading him into a realm of madness; you can watch the trailer below...

      DEMENTIUM tells the story of Wyatt Bailey, who retreats to a remote cabin on a Christmas tree farm with a singular aim: to uncover the truth about his mother's murder. The only person who may have the answer, his father, is dead, wrapped in plastic in the trunk of his car. In a fit of desperation, Wyatt turns to the psychedelic substance DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), intent on confronting his father's spirit and asking a harrowing question: Did he murder his own wife?

      What ensues is a hallucinatory journey filled with horror and hope as Wyatt encounters two entities from beyond. His charming ex-girlfriend, Cora, encourages him to relive their first date, tempting him with the chance for love and redemption. Simultaneously, a sinister witch pursues him, driving him towards violence and despair. Caught in this drug-induced nightmare, Wyatt must steer through visions of memory, desire, and fear while fighting for his soul and contemplating whether the truth will annihilate him or liberate him.

      The cast of Dementium includes Michael Aaron Milligan, Karynn Moore, Dani Deetté, Kristen Rakes, Adam Boyer, Doug Dawson, and Murretta Moss.

      Dementium is slated for release on North American VOD platforms on August 18th, 2026.
