The 64th New York Film Festival includes restored works by Hou Hsiao-hsien, Powell & Pressburger, Ken Russell, Luchino Visconti, and others.

      After announcing the Main Slate, Spotlight, and Current lineup, the final film section of the 64th New York Film Festival has been revealed. This segment includes 12 features and honors films that have been restored, preserved, or digitally remastered, showcasing significant works of cinematic history alongside lesser-known gems for new audiences.

      Key highlights include the world premieres of new 4K restorations of Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger’s Gone to Earth and Barbara Hammer’s Nitrate Kisses, as well as the North American restoration debuts of Hou Hsiao-hsien’s Goodbye South, Goodbye, Ken Russell’s The Devils (presented on 35mm!), and Luchino Visconti’s L’innocente. Additionally, there will be a presentation of rare short films by Armenian director Artavazd Pelechian, among others.

      The 64th New York Film Festival will occur from September 25 to October 12, 2026, with passes currently available for purchase. Individual tickets will be on sale starting September 15 at noon.
