The trailer and poster for the Japanese ghost story Never After Dark have been revealed.
Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer for the Japanese supernatural thriller Never After Dark, which is set to premiere this September.
The story centers on Airi, a medium who assists lost souls with the aid of her deceased sister. However, after being called to perform an exorcism at a secluded country house, Airi encounters a grotesque entity unlike anything she has ever faced.
Written and directed by Dave Boyle, the film stars Moeka Hoshi, Kurumi Inagaki, Kento Kaku, Mutsuo Yoshioka, Bokuzō Masana, and Tae Kimura.
Airi (Moeka Hoshi, “Shogun”) is a wandering medium who dedicates her life to guiding troubled spirits from the living world, always alongside her late sister Miku (Kurumi Inagaki). When the new owner, Teiko (Tae Kimura), summons her to expel a spirit from an isolated country home, Airi confronts a terrifying apparition that challenges her abilities. Encountering skepticism from Teiko’s son, Gunji (Kento Kaku), she investigates the home’s history, uncovering a secret that puts her in danger from an even more unpredictable force. For the first time, Airi’s greatest threat is not the supernatural but the living.
Never After Dark will be released in theaters on September 25th.
