Mouse Trailer: The Berlinale favorite from Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson is set to release this fall.

      Following the success of their acclaimed 2024 film Ghostlight, Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson solidified their reputation as leading storytellers of contemporary American life with their latest project, Mouse. Featuring a cast that includes Sophie Okonedo, Katherine Mallen Kupferer, Chloe Coleman, Tara Mallen, Iman Vellani, and David Hyde Pierce, the film received positive feedback at this year’s Berlinale and is set to debut on November 6 through the Independent Film Company, with a new trailer released ahead of the opening.

By exploring the intricate bond between a girl who prefers to see herself as without a mother and a mother who has never had children, Mouse commits to fully telling each story, balancing screen time between the two and showcasing their growing closeness as they remember Callie.”

      Here’s the synopsis: “Set in 2002, best friends Minnie (Kupferer) and Callie (Coleman) are entering their senior year of high school, with Minnie always in the protective shadow of the charming and well-liked Callie. When their friendship is abruptly disrupted at the beginning of summer, Minnie struggles to establish her own identity and forms a complicated bond with Callie’s composed, caring mother (Okonedo), distancing herself further from her own tumultuous home life.”
