Hammer Films is back with a trailer for the survival horror film Ithaqua.
After its world premiere at FrightFest London this past weekend, Hammer Films has released the first trailer for the upcoming supernatural survival horror film, Ithaqua.
Set in 19th century Canada, the story follows Cole Franklin, a mercenary tasked with leading a trading party suffering from famine to a nearby Indigenous village. Unbeknownst to him, their outpost is cursed by an ancient evil, which compels Cole to utilize his military skills in a horrifying fight for survival against a being that craves flesh.
Directed by Casey Walker, the film's cast features Luke Hemsworth, Kevin Durand, Michael Pitt, Craig Lauzon, Leenah Robinson, and Pamela Matthews. You can watch the trailer below.
Facing the decline of the fur trade and plagued by a deadly hunger, the inhabitants of a remote outpost in 1800s Canada enlist American mercenary Cole Franklin as their guide and hired gun. Initially aiming to lead a trading party to a nearby Indigenous village, any hope for rescue is swiftly shattered as their journey transforms into a nightmarish struggle for survival.
As the increasingly unhinged guardians of the Fort drive their community into greater peril, chaos erupts, and the death toll rises. This forces Cole to apply his military knowledge in an unexpected way: rallying the remaining survivors against a malevolent force that embodies an unquenchable thirst for flesh.
Ithaqua will be released soon by Hammer Films.
