MobLand has been renewed for a third season, with Tom Hardy set to return.

      With the premiere of MobLand's second season just a few weeks away, Paramount+ has announced that the crime drama has been renewed for a third season, with Tom Hardy officially returning to the series. Earlier this year, reports indicated that tensions escalated between Hardy, who is also an executive producer, and showrunner Jez Butterworth during the production of season two, leading to a lack of collaboration. It was reported that Hardy was willing to leave the series if it were to be renewed.

      Fortunately, the conflict was settled last month during a meeting involving Hardy, Butterworth, and executive producers David C. Glasser and Guy Ritchie. This resolution means that Hardy will continue to star alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in the third season.

      In MobLand, Hardy portrays fixer Harry Da Souza for the Harrigan crime family. The second season will depict rising tensions within the family as Harry strives to maintain peace among its members and rival street gangs. Brosnan and Mirren play the family leaders, Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, as they attempt to exert control over North London through their ruthless strategies.

      The ten-episode second season will show the Harrigans facing challenges in presenting a united front as new rivals threaten their already fragile criminal empire. Harry Da Souza, their cunning and resourceful 'fixer,' must navigate precarious situations as family disputes intensify. As violence infiltrates all aspects of their lives, loyalties crumble, safety remains fleeting, and the struggle for power allows no space for compassion.

      The cast of MobLand season 2 includes Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones. MobLand season 2 will premiere on Paramount+ on September 18th.
