      In un futuro prossimo inquietante e ingannevolmente placido, un tecno-imprenditore di nome Karsh (Cassel) ha sviluppato un nuovo software che permetterà ai defunti di testimoniare il graduale decadimento dei propri cari morti e sepolti nella terra. Mentre Karsh è ancora scosso dalla perdita di sua moglie (Kruger) a causa del cancro—e cade in una peculiare relazione sessuale con la sorella di sua moglie (anche Kruger)—un'ondata di tombe vandalizzate che utilizzano la sua tecnologia “sindone” inizia a mettere a rischio la sua impresa, portandolo a scoprire una cospirazione potenzialmente vasta.

      The Shruds aprirà in sale limitate negli Stati Uniti il 18 aprile prima di espandersi a livello nazionale il 25 aprile.
