Briarcliff Entertainment has unveiled the trailer for their bodybuilding film Magazine Dreams, a drama starring Jonathan Majors that generated significant buzz at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival before being put on hold due to the highly publicized scandal involving its lead actor.

Written and directed by Elijah Bynum (The Deliverance), we described the film as a “bleak yet compellingly wrought character piece” in our ★★★★ review. Alongside Majors, the cast includes Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, Mike O’Hearn, Harrison Page, and Harriet Sansom Harris. You can watch the trailer below…

Killian Maddox is driven by his ambition to become a world-renowned bodybuilder and to eventually appear on the cover of fitness magazines. He leads a solitary, structured life, and his obsessive pursuit of perfection pushes him closer to self-destruction; however, beneath his fierce quest for stardom lies a profound yearning for human connection. As he confronts the limitations of his physical abilities and his own inner struggles, Magazine Dreams delves into the extremes one man will reach in his haunting quest for acknowledgment in a world that frequently ignores him.

Magazine Dreams will be showing in theaters starting March 21, 2025.
