
Donald Duck will take on the role of Iron Man in Marvel's upcoming Disney: What If...? crossover.
Marvel Comics has revealed that Donald Duck will soar into action as the Armored Avenger in its ongoing series of Disney mash-up one-shots, titled Marvel & Disney: What If…? Donald Duck Became Iron Man. This story takes inspiration from Iron Man’s introduction in Tales of Suspense #39, created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby. The issue is penned by Luca Barbieri and Steve Behling, with illustrations by Donald Soffritti, promising “a quack-tastic twist on Tony Stark’s groundbreaking origin story.”
In this tale, Donald Duck finds himself captured by the Beagle Boys, who compel him to construct a device to break into his Uncle Scrooge’s Money Bin. However, Donald has a different agenda and builds an incredible suit of armor! Will this courageous duck thwart the Beagle Boys' schemes and reach his date with Daisy Duck?
