The Mortal Kombat II poster unveils Karl Urban as Johnny Cage.
Warner Bros. has launched the promotional campaign for the Mortal Kombat II movie with a mock poster for Uncaged Fury, the latest action film featuring the A-list character Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban (The Boys) in the upcoming sequel to the 2021 film reboot.
Mortal Kombat II is once again directed by Simon McQuoid, based on a script by Jeremy Slater. Urban will make his debut in the franchise alongside returning Mortal Kombat actors Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Noob Saibot, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/ Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao.
Other newcomers joining Urban in the sequel include Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.
Mortal Kombat II is scheduled to be released on October 24, 2025.
