John Krasinski reprises his role as Jack Ryan in a first-look image from the upcoming feature film.

      The first official image from Amazon MGM’s upcoming Jack Ryan film has been unveiled, showcasing John Krasinski reprising his role after appearing in the series for four seasons.

      The picture captures Ryan armed and prepared for an undercover operation in Dubai. Krasinski posted the photo on Instagram, expressing his excitement: “So. Good. To be. Back! #JackRyanMovie is off and running!!! A HUGE thank you to all the incredible people here in Dubai for allowing us to kick off in such epic style in your beautiful city! Let’s go!!”

      Both the series and the film draw from Tom Clancy’s political and espionage thriller novels, which typically revolve around CIA analyst Jack Ryan. The character has been portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine in various film adaptations. Amazon’s series featured Krasinski’s portrayal of Ryan as he tackled national threats and uncovered conspiracies within the U.S. government. Over its four-season run, Jack Ryan became one of Prime's most streamed shows globally.

      Joining Krasinski from the series are Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, and Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright. New faces in the franchise include Siena Miller, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.

      Andrew Bernstein, the executive producer and director of the second season, is at the helm for this film. The script has been written by Aaron Rabin, who worked as a co-executive producer and writer on the fourth season. Paramount Pictures and Skydance are behind the production, with Krasinski also producing through his company, Sunday Night, alongside Allyson Seeger.
