Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey expands its ensemble cast by adding two more members.

      Although Christopher Nolan has started production on his upcoming major film, The Odyssey, he is still in the process of finalizing his cast for the ensemble piece. According to Deadline, Michael Vlamis (Roswell, New Mexico) and Iddo Goldberg (Snowpiercer) have now joined the cast.

      The film is inspired by the Greek epic written by Homer, which chronicles Odysseus' journey home to Ithaca in the years following the Trojan War. As the wrath of the gods from Olympus sends him across the sea, he encounters numerous ancient creatures and figures from Greek mythology, some of whom assist him while others create obstacles along his journey.

      Matt Damon is set to portray Odysseus, with the first official image from the film having been released earlier this week. So far, only Damon's character has been disclosed; the roles of the remaining cast members are still being kept under wraps, as is typical for a Nolan film. With production underway and the first image shared, more information about who will play various classic Greek characters is expected to emerge in the following weeks.

      Christopher Nolan's forthcoming film, The Odyssey, is a mythic action epic filmed globally, utilizing innovative IMAX film technology. It brings Homer's iconic saga to IMAX screens for the first time and is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 17, 2026.

      The cast of The Odyssey includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Hamish Patel, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, John Leguizamo, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth, Corey Hawkins, Nick Tarabay, Jimmy Gonzales, Maurice Compte, Michael Vlamis, and Iddo Goldberg.

      The Odyssey is set to premiere on July 17, 2026.
