      In advance of its world premiere at SXSW this March, Shudder has unveiled a poster and trailer for Eli Craig's upcoming horror film, Clown in a Cornfield. Adapted from Adam Cesare’s acclaimed 2020 novel of the same name, the movie depicts the small, divided town of Kettle Springs being terrorized by Frendo the Clown, a malevolent figure that once represented the town's prosperity.

      The film features performances from Katie Douglas, Carson MacCormac, Aaron Abrams, Will Sasso, and Kevin Durand. You can watch the trailer below.

      Quinn and her father relocate to the tranquil town of Kettle Springs seeking a new beginning. However, she soon uncovers a fragmented community that has struggled since the beloved Baypen Corn Syrup Factory was destroyed in a fire. As local disputes escalate, a sinister, smiling figure rises from the cornfields to rid the town of its troubles, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs—true excitement begins when Frendo the clown comes out to play.

      Clown in a Cornfield will have its world premiere at SXSW on March 10th, followed by its theatrical release on May 9th.
