Only Murders in the Building has started filming for its fifth season.

      Following the recent achievement of a SAG-AFTRA award for Best Ensemble, production for the fifth season of *Only Murders in the Building* has commenced, with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez returning to their roles.

      The show's announcement on Instagram simply stated that production has started, without any casting news for the upcoming season. The finale hinted at Téa Leoni becoming a new client for Charles, Mabel, and Oliver, as she sought their help to investigate her husband's disappearance, which they opted not to pursue. While Leoni's participation has yet to be confirmed, it seems likely she will appear in the fifth season.

      In addition to Leoni's cameo, the season concluded with a teaser for the next case, revealing that the Arconia’s loyal doorman, Lester, was discovered murdered in the courtyard fountain. With production for season five now underway, it will be exciting to see which characters from the acclaimed fourth season will return, as well as what other new suspects will be introduced.
