      Paramount+ has unveiled a trailer and poster for its forthcoming crime drama series, Happy Face.

      The series, inspired by Melissa Moore’s 2018 podcast and her memoir Shattered Silence, centers on Melissa (Annaleigh Ashford) as her estranged father, the serial killer known as the Happy Face Killer (Dennis Quaid), reenters her life while serving time for his offenses.

      Alongside Ashford and Quaid, the cast includes James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne, and Benjamin Mackey. Check out the trailer below…

      Based on a true story, Happy Face follows Melissa Reed (Annaleigh Ashford), the daughter of Keith Jesperson, infamously referred to as “the Happy Face Killer” (Dennis Quaid). After years of silence, Keith intrudes into his daughter's life, leading Melissa to determine whether an innocent man faces execution for a crime committed by her father. Throughout this journey, she confronts her own identity.

      Happy Face will debut on Paramount+ on March 20th.
