Harlan Ellison's I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream makes its debut on consoles for the very first time.

Nightdive Studios has announced the launch of the celebrated 1996 point-and-click horror adventure, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles. This marks the title's debut on consoles, featuring the author Harlan Ellison in the role of the omnipotent techno-god, AM. Check out the new launch trailer below…

In I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, players find themselves deep within the Earth, taking on the roles of five survivors who are trapped in the depths of the insane, megalomaniacal A.I., AM. For the last 109 years, these survivors have been subjected to torment and manipulation by AM, who harbors a deep hatred for humanity. Now, in a final challenge for them, AM has crafted a meta-adventure quest for each survivor, hinting at freedom should they succeed.

AM has created a unique psychodrama for each survivor, delving into their deepest fears and feelings of guilt, and it is up to players to navigate through the individual scenarios of these characters. Players will uncover the backstory of each survivor and reveal why AM chose to keep them alive to endure suffering. Can these survivors confront their inner demons and best AM at his own game?

      Key features include:

      - Five distinct characters, each with their own narrative to explore and situated in unique environments.

      - Challenging puzzles addressing deeply emotional themes.

      - Thought-provoking psychological and mature themes.

      - Fully digitized dialogue featuring over 40 characters, with author Harlan Ellison voicing AM.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles. PC users can download the game via Steam or GOG.
