THQ Nordic has announced that the classic action-adventure game Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is now available on PlayStation 4. Originally released in 2003, this beloved title first garnered fans on the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2, and now the adventures of Sphinx and his undead companion, Mummy, can engage a new generation of players. Check out the new trailer below.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a third-person action-adventure game where players accompany the agile warrior Sphinx and his ally, The Mummy, on a challenging quest to thwart the sinister plans of the evil god Set and recover Egypt’s stolen crowns to restore balance to the world.

Players will explore an ancient Egyptian Universal Empire comprised of various worlds through numerous magical portals, solving clever puzzles and engaging in epic battles against legendary creatures. To find the stolen magical crowns and save the world, players must utilize all of Sphinx’s cunning, agility, and special abilities, alongside the skills of his dusty, bandaged friend.

With numerous locations to discover, lethal mythical monsters to battle, and treacherous traps to avoid, players will navigate this ancient network of portals. In addition to fighting enemies (or evading them in Mummy's case), players will have the opportunity to interact with hundreds of unique and imaginative creatures and allies.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is currently available on PlayStation 4. For those who prefer Xbox gaming, the game will be released for Xbox One on April 15th.
