The CW has unveiled a poster and trailer for its upcoming mystery drama series Sherlock & Daughter, set to premiere later this month.
The show features David Thewlis as Sherlock Holmes, centering on the iconic detective as he grapples with a dark case when he encounters a young woman named Amelia (Blu Hunt), who asserts that she is his daughter. She is concurrently investigating her mother's mysterious murder. You can watch the trailer below…
"As he grows older, we meet a new, irritable Sherlock Holmes, who finds himself out of his element and mysteriously unable to tackle a perilous case without endangering his closest friends. It is during this time that he coincidentally encounters a clever young American named Amelia, who claims to be his daughter!
In the wake of her mother’s inexplicable murder, she begins to suspect that her elusive father might be the renowned detective. Despite their vastly different backgrounds and perspectives, they must collaborate to unravel an international conspiracy, solve her mother's murder, and uncover the truth behind Amelia's origins!
