The story of Everspace 2 advances in May with the release of Wrath of the Ancients.

      Rockfish Games has revealed that the new expansion for Everspace 2, titled Wrath of the Ancients, is set for release on May 12th. This much-anticipated expansion will take players to new star systems where they will encounter previously unseen enemies and take on new challenges. A new trailer is available below, offering a glimpse of the upcoming adventures.

      With Wrath of the Ancients, players will advance the story of Everspace 2, adding new post-game content and side quest narratives within Cluster 34. There will be four new star systems to explore, each filled with diverse locations and brimming with secrets and side missions waiting to be uncovered.

      These remote star systems will introduce formidable new threats, as players will face new enemies and bosses that pose a constant danger. However, they will have access to the all-new Wraith Okkar fighter class ship, which features unique technology that can absorb fragments from defeated foes to unlock special abilities. This ship presents a high-risk, high-reward scenario, being effective in the hands of experienced pilots but less so for those who are inexperienced.

      Additional features of this upcoming DLC include:

      - An expanded roster of both new and returning characters.

      - New types of enemies and bosses.
