Detective RPG Inspector Schmidt - The Ebbing has now been released on Steam.
Active Fungus Studios has announced the launch of Inspector Schmidt – The Ebbing on PC via Steam. This new detective RPG features an engaging storyline and a variety of cleverly designed puzzles that will appeal to fans of Schmidt’s earlier mystery, A Bavarian Tale, as well as mystery enthusiasts.
In this latest case, the young Inspector Schmidt is enjoying a peaceful holiday in the fictional town of Havstedt by the North Sea, but tranquility is disrupted when he becomes embroiled in a perplexing murder investigation. Players will assume the role of Schmidt and embark on a quest to uncover the truth and apprehend the killer. They can search for clues, interrogate locals, and utilize an enhanced stealth system to navigate a range of intricate puzzles.
Similar to A Bavarian Tale, The Ebbing emphasizes dialogue from eccentric characters, branching narratives, and multiple endings. The voice acting features German talent delivering authentic northern German dialects, with subtitles and an English voiceover also provided.
Inspector Schmidt – The Ebbing includes:
- An open world set in a North German town of 1870 for exploration.
- A conversation system for interrogating residents and gathering information.
- A Detective Mode to reveal hidden evidence.
- A revamped stealth system for sneaking into restricted areas and tackling dangers.
