Vertigo Releasing has unveiled a trailer for The Surfer, a psychological thriller directed by Lorcan Finnegan, featuring Nicolas Cage as a father who becomes embroiled in a growing conflict after facing humiliation from local surfers while enjoying time with his son.
Joining Cage in the cast are Julian McMahon, Nicholas Cassim, Miranda Tapsell, and Alexander Bertrand. You can watch the trailer below…
A man revisits the picturesque beach of his youth to surf with his son, but after being humiliated by a group of influential locals, he is drawn into a conflict that intensifies with the relentless summer heat, pushing him to his limits.
The Surfer is scheduled to be released on May 2nd in the US and on May 9th in the UK.
