The trailer for Blight Night reveals an 80s-themed retro survival horror experience.
Solo developer Nick Duttweiler, in collaboration with Famous Games and The Game Marketer, has announced that Blight Night, a survival horror game inspired by the 80s, will be released on Steam for PC on April 29th. This homage to the VHS-era horror will have players combating terror in a deserted town, all while immersed in the nostalgic glow of CRT scanlines. Check out the new trailer below…
Players will assume the role of Sonny Barstow, the last surviving human in the once picturesque town of Golden Springs in West Texas, as they explore the area to uncover the mystery behind the fate of its residents. Throughout their journey, players will confront twisted creatures, formidable bosses, and other horrors that heighten the sense of dread.
A diverse array of weapons can be found and utilized against the lurking terrors, but ammunition is scarce, so players should select their confrontations carefully.
Blight Night features:
- Dark, haunted ruins for exploration in search of supplies and secrets.
- Third-person survival horror with an 80s CRT visual style.
- A broad selection of weapons to combat horrors that never appear alone.
- Prolonged darkness puts Sonny’s life at risk.
- Distorted visuals and a synth-infused soundtrack designed to create unease.
Blight Night is currently available for Wishlist on Steam. For those eager to play before April 29th, a demo is also offered.
