Emulsion Episode Four: Zach Lewis discusses Henry Fonda for President.

Alexander Horwath's Henry Fonda for President stands out as one of the most significant releases of this still-young year. It is, without a doubt, the most celebrated essay film in recent times, and it piqued my interest when my friend Zach Lewis endorsed it. As an adventurous and open-minded cinephile, Zach has a balanced appreciation for the works of Henry Fonda, film essays, and cinema focused on landscapes—think Thom Anderson or Harun Farocki for one, and James Benning for another—areas that Horwath is exploring here. I was thrilled to connect with him to discuss the film, and I hope our conversation proves insightful for you as well.
