No More Room in Hell 2 hints at an upcoming Reanimation update.

The upcoming significant update for Torn Banner Studios’ No More Room in Hell 2 is set to launch on April 15th, titled Reanimation. This update will introduce two new maps, a new radial inventory, an overhauled combat system, and more. Additionally, a free weekend will be available on Steam from April 17th to 21st. You can watch the trailer below for a preview of the new features.

The first new map since the game's release, Pottsville, takes inspiration from classic zombie films. This compact suburban town creates a claustrophobic atmosphere as the undead close in. Pottsville is designed to be smaller and more densely packed compared to the rural Power Plant map, featuring fog-laden alleys and eerie neighborhood homes. Players will traverse this area in their quest to reach downtown for essential scientific research.

Another map, Lewiston, depicts a frantic city where responders must safeguard survivors and find a means of escape. Responders will need to act swiftly to secure one of two random evacuation routes, either by train or boat.

The new radial inventory system, reminiscent of the original No More Room in Hell, allows players to quickly switch between items by moving their mouse across the quadrants of their screen. This inventory features a weight mechanism for the items collected, promoting faster inventory management while compelling players to be more strategic about the items they gather and utilize.

The update will also introduce Combat 2.0, an improved system for both ranged and melee attacks designed to enhance player interactions with zombies, making them more dynamic and immersive. Players will have the ability to perform left-to-right or right-to-left attacks to sever zombie limbs and can execute stronger attacks by repeating these actions.

The Reanimation update will also present a character roster, permitting players to manage multiple permadeath characters simultaneously. Players will now have three character slots to select their combatants, and a new character re-roll option will allow them to trade out their three character choices for a new set using in-game credits accrued from matches.

Anticipate the Reanimation update on April 15th, alongside the free play weekend from April 17th to 21st.
