At Anthology Film Archives, Essential Cinema presents Michael Snow’s Wavelength and Back and Forth, screening on 16 and 35mm.
Roxy Cinema will showcase the Tilda Swinton-starring Female Perversions throughout the weekend, accompanied by Q&As. The French Connection, curated by Martin Scorsese, will be shown on 35mm this Saturday, alongside Freak Orlando and Eraserhead; The Flintstones will be screened for free on Sunday.
At Spectacle, Tomu Uchida’s A Fugitive from the Past will be shown on Friday.
Film Forum will feature Mort Rifkin’s beloved A Man and a Woman in a new restoration, as well as Lelouch’s La bonne année; Yentl will be screened this Sunday.
IFC Center will present Salò, The Lair of the White Worm, The Holy Mountain, Stop Making Sense, The Elephant Man, Sorcerer, and Mad Max in late screenings.
Nitehawk Cinema will screen Hyenas and a surprise Hong Kong feature early on Sunday.
