Rosamund Pike Takes a Drive on Hallow Road in the First Trailer for Babak Anvari’s Psychological Thriller
After making a significant impact with his debut film Under the Shadow, British-Iranian director Babak Anvari followed it up with Wounds and I Came By. Now, while his potential Cloverfield project is still in development, he has released a new film this year titled Hallow Road. Starring Rosamund Pike, Matthew Rhys, and Megan McDonnell, this psychological thriller premiered at SXSW last month and is set to hit U.K. theaters on May 16, with U.S. theaters to follow later this year through XYZ Films. In anticipation of the release, the first trailer and poster have been revealed.
Here’s the synopsis: “Two parents receive a troubling late-night call from their teenage daughter, who has just accidentally struck a pedestrian. They quickly jump in their car, racing to arrive before anyone else discovers the scene. As they venture further into the night, unsettling truths threaten to divide the family as they come to realize they may not be the only ones traveling down Hallow Road.”
