Netflix has unveiled a collection of first look images for its forthcoming drama series The Waterfront, created by Kevin Williamson of Scream fame. The show features Holt McCallany, Maria Bello, Melissa Benoist, and Jake Weary, and is set to debut on June 19th. It is inspired by real events that narrate the downfall of a family’s fishing business and their desperate measures to remain operational. Take a look at the images below…
For many years, the Buckley family has dominated Havenport, North Carolina, controlling everything from the local fishing sector to the restaurant scene. However, their fishing empire is beginning to falter as patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) recuperates from two heart attacks, while his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) delve into risky strategies to keep the family businesses afloat. As their efforts spiral out of control and venture into perilous territory, Harlan returns to reclaim leadership. Meanwhile, Bree Buckley (Melissa Benoist), the daughter, battles her own demons as a recovering addict who has lost custody of her son, getting involved in a complex relationship that could jeopardize the family's future indefinitely.
