Well Go USA has unveiled a poster and trailer for "11 Rebels," a Japanese historical action thriller directed by Kazuya Shiraishi.
The film focuses on a diverse group of criminals and samurai as they fight to protect their fortress from advancing government forces that have manipulated them as pawns in a larger plot during the Boshin War. Check out the trailer below…
In this action-filled epic by Kazuya Shiraishi, ten inmates are offered their freedom in return for defending a small town in feudal Japan. Charged with holding a fortress against the approaching government troops, they fight with the intensity of men who have nothing left to lose. However, when the officials who enlisted them break their promise, the fighters realize they’ve been exploited as pawns in a grander design. Betrayed and outnumbered, they must determine their own destiny or face death in the attempt.
The cast features Yamada Takayuki, Nakano Taiga, Onoe Ukon, Sayashi Riho, Sakumoto Takara, and Chihara Seiji. "11 Rebels" is scheduled for release on June 10th.
