The latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 features the introduction of the Trygon.
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have revealed the new Trygon update for their third-person action game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This update introduces a new PvE mission, a new weapon, numerous quality-of-life enhancements, and more. Check out the new trailer below to discover what's included in this latest free update.
The new PvE mission, titled “Exfiltration,” sends players back to the windswept Avarax to undertake a new task – to defeat the formidable Trygon. This creature excels in guerrilla tactics, able to burrow beneath defensive lines and spring out to attack its targets. Exfiltration is available for free to all players and also provides a great opportunity to try out the update’s new free weapon, the Inferno Pistol. This weapon is a close-range thermal option for Assault, Sniper, Heavy, and Vanguard classes.
Among the quality-of-life enhancements is the addition of Prestige Ranks and Prestige Rewards. These changes revamp many weapon perks and allow players to alter the colors of tabards and hoods regardless of marine class. Additionally, the highly requested custom PvP lobbies are now available, enabling players to engage in fully customizable Eternal War matches with groups of up to 12 players.
In addition to the free content, two new DLCs are available for Season Pass holders. The Space Wolves Chapter Pack includes a new Champion skin for the Vanguard, three weapon skins for the Chainsword, Bolt Carbine, and Thunder Hammer, alongside over 50 unique cosmetics and colors. Complementing this is the Imperial Fists Champion Pack, featuring a Champion skin for the Tactical class and a unique Plasma Incinerator skin.
The Trygon update is available now for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
