The featurette for Jurassic World: Rebirth hints at a comeback to the 'Classic Jurassic' vibe.
A new featurette for Jurassic World: Rebirth has been released online, featuring cast and crew members discussing how the upcoming installment of the adventure franchise pays homage to Steven Spielberg’s classic 1993 film, Jurassic Park. You can watch it below.
Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the Earth’s ecology has become largely unwelcoming to dinosaurs. The surviving dinosaurs are now confined to isolated equatorial regions with climates similar to their original habitats. The three largest creatures—those that dominate the land, sea, and air—contain within their DNA the crucial component for a drug that could provide life-saving benefits for humanity.
Academy Award® nominee Scarlett Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert hired to lead a talented team on a secret mission to obtain the genetic material. When Zora’s mission intersects with a civilian family whose boating trip was disrupted by aggressive aquatic dinosaurs, they all find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that once hosted a confidential research facility for Jurassic Park. There, in a landscape inhabited by a variety of dinosaur species, they confront a sinister and shocking secret that has been concealed from the world for decades.
Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted ally; Critics Choice and Olivier Award winner Jonathan Bailey (Wicked, Bridgerton) takes on the role of paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis; Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (Homeland, Obi-Wan Kenobi) appears as Martin Krebs, a representative from Big Pharma, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer, Murder on the Orient Express) portrays Reuben Delgado, the father of the stranded civilian family.
