First teaser for the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for I Know What You Did Last Summer, an upcoming horror sequel/reboot directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
The story centers on a new group of teenagers who must seek assistance from the survivors of the 1997 Southport Massacre when they become targets of a hook-wielding killer seeking vengeance, a year after hiding a fatal accident. Watch the trailer below…
“When five friends accidentally cause a deadly car crash, they conceal their involvement and agree to keep it a secret instead of facing the repercussions. A year later, their past returns to haunt them, forcing them to confront a terrifying reality: someone knows what they did last summer… and is determined to take revenge. As each friend is stalked by a murderer, they learn this has happened before, leading them to seek help from two survivors of the infamous Southport Massacre of 1997.”
The cast includes returning stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., along with new faces Billy Campbell, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, and Gabbriette.
I Know What You Did Last Summer is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2025.
