Tom Baker will reprise his role in Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor Adventures - The Ruins of Kaerula this June.

      Big Finish has announced a new full-cast audio drama featuring the Fourth Doctor, set to be released this June. Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor Adventures – The Ruins of Kaerula introduces further challenges for Tom Baker’s Doctor as he journeys alongside Leela and K9 through unusual temporal phenomena.

      The forthcoming adventures of the Fourth Doctor will transport listeners to the world of Kaerula at various points in time, with the third story bringing back the Brigadier to join the travelers. The stories included in this box set are as follows:

      The Remains of Kaerula by Phil Mulryne takes the TARDIS to the planet Kaerula, where the Doctor and his companions decide to embark on an exploration, as is their custom. Shortly after, they encounter two escapees from a nearby containment facility who warn them about enigmatic cave creatures. While Leela (Louise Jameson) and K9 (John Leeson) investigate the caves, the Doctor works to bring harmony between the Kaerulans and the Rems, but time is against them.

      In The Ruins of Kaerula (also by Phil Mulryne), the Doctor and his companions try to depart from Kaerula, but a runaway experiment sends the TARDIS back to an earlier period in the planet's history. Now stuck, they encounter different versions of the people they just met and face the repercussions of their previous actions, as the chaotic experiment has also brought other entities to the planet along with the TARDIS.

      The third episode, Cry of the Banshee by Tim Foley, sees the TARDIS arriving in a tumultuous Geneva after receiving a Time-Space Telegraph from Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (portrayed by Jon Culshaw). The Brigadier recounts how an Irish peace delegate died from fright after claiming to have been visited by a banshee, which soon leads the four to a thirtieth-century space station orbiting Jupiter. Will the Doctor uncover the reason behind this peculiar death, or will their challenges multiply due to the lurking secrets and dangers?
