The remake of Thomas Crown Affair featuring Michael B. Jordan has been scheduled for an early release in 2027.
Following its success in theaters with Ryan Coogler's Sinners this past week, Michael B. Jordan's forthcoming remake of The Thomas Crown Affair has been scheduled for a March 2027 release.
Jordan will take on both the directing duties and the lead role in the Thomas Crown remake, which centers on a billionaire who doubles as a professional art thief. In the original 1968 film and its 1999 remake, an insurance investigator targets Crown after a major theft, leading to a cat-and-mouse game and a romantic subplot between the two characters. Jordan's adaptation is set to premiere via Amazon MGM on March 5th, 2027.
Jordan will produce alongside Elizabeth Raposo and Taylor Russell through Outlier Society, with a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff will also join as producers, while original Thomas Crown Affair writer Alan Trustman will serve as an executive producer.
Directed by Norman Jewison, the original The Thomas Crown Affair featured Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in the main roles, and the first remake was helmed by Die Hard's John McTiernan, starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.
The Thomas Crown Affair is set to debut on March 5th, 2027.
