Marvel unveils variant covers for Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #1.

      Toho's King of the Monsters has been engaged in combat with some of the most famous heroes from the Marvel universe through a series of one-shot comics this year, leading up to the event series Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe this summer. Written by Gerry Duggan and illustrated by Javier Garrón, this five-part series is set to begin in July. Marvel has revealed that the first issue will feature six variant covers by Garrón and esteemed artists John Tyler Christopher, Sean Galloway, E.J.       In this storyline, a previously dormant Godzilla has been fiercely awakened and is wreaking havoc as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes unite to halt its destructive rampage! However, when their joint efforts fail to curb the Bringer of Destruction, the heroes of Earth must resort to extraordinary measures to try and bring Godzilla down – including allying with the planet's most cunning villains! But will this alliance be sufficient to stop Godzilla as it rampages through the Marvel Universe into the Dark Dimension and other realms? Furthermore, what connection does the King of the Monsters have with the enigmatic metal, Vibranium, and what implications does this hold for Wakanda? Faced with an unstoppable natural force, the Marvel Universe must unite as never before in this earth-shattering struggle for survival.

      Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #1 will be released on July 16th, 2025.
