Ultraman makes a comeback in the trailer for Ultraman Omega.

As Tsuburaya Productions approaches its 60th anniversary in 2026, it is launching a refreshed version of the enduring Ultraman franchise, unveiling a poster and trailer for the forthcoming tokusatsu drama Ultraman Omega, which marks the 35th installment in this beloved series. Below, you can find the trailer and poster, along with the official synopsis.

In a world without heroes or kaiju, an alien unexpectedly descends from the sky. This Ultra is characterized by the red space boomerang he wields, known as the Omega Slugger, and his name signifies “ultimate.”

“Omega” is an alien suffering from memory loss. Assuming human guise under the name “Sorato,” he becomes fascinated by the beings known as “Earthlings,” whom he encounters for the first time, and seeks to comprehend them.

As a colossal life form emerges, the amnesiac Sorato remembers a term—“kaiju.” The continued emergence of these kaiju triggers a sense of responsibility within Sorato’s subconscious. He transforms into “Ultraman Omega,” and an exhilarating, fast-paced battle ensues.

In response, the Earthlings struggle to come to terms with the appearance of these massive life forms and the alien wielding a red slugger, observing from various locations as they try to make sense of the situation. Soon, Sorato forges a friendship with an ordinary young man—an alien and an Earthling. This ambitious project raises a question through the intertwined hearts of these friends: “Why does Ultraman protect the Earth?”

Now is the moment of awakening.

Ultraman Omega is set to be aired and streamed worldwide in July 2025.
