Shudder releases trailer for the horror film The Surrender.

      After its debut at SXSW in March, streaming service Shudder has unveiled a trailer and images for The Surrender, a horror film created by writer-director Julia Max.

      The story revolves around a mourning mother and daughter who jeopardize their lives by undertaking a harsh resurrection ritual to bring back the family patriarch, aided by an enigmatic stranger.

      The cast features Colby Minifie, Kate Burton, Neil Sandilands, Vaughn Armstrong, Mia Ellis, Pete Ploszek, Chelsea Alden, Alaina Pollack, Riley Rose Critchlow, and Lola Prince Kelly. You can view the trailer below...

      A strained mother-daughter dynamic faces a horrifying challenge when the family patriarch passes away, prompting the grieving mother to enlist the help of a mysterious figure to resurrect her husband. As the strange and violent revival spirals out of control, the two women must address their differences while fighting for their lives and for each other.

      The Surrender will be available on Shudder starting May 23rd.
