Dustwind: Resistance, the spiritual follow-up to Dustwind – The Last Resort, is set to launch on PC through Steam, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 this June. This latest installment in the Dustwind series offers a standalone single-player experience centered on real-time tactical squad-based warfare, gritty storytelling, and adaptable playstyles. In Dustwind: Resistance, players will navigate a harsh post-apocalyptic world, leading a squad of battle-hardened survivors, along with a dog named Diesel, against a menacing army of raiders threatening their home. Players must meticulously plan their strategies and utilize all available tactics to overcome their foes, employing stealth, traps, vehicles, turrets, barricades, and more to repel the assault.
This new title will feature a comprehensive campaign with carefully crafted missions set in diverse environments, ranging from snowy terrains to agricultural lands. An improved squad customization system will allow players to delve deeper into building their squad, alongside a variety of unique weapons for equipping their team.
For those eager for a taste of Dustwind ahead of the June release, a playable demo will be available on Steam in May. Additionally, a free DLC called '2Friends' for the original Dustwind will introduce a short story campaign that paves the way for the events in Dustwind: Resistance.
