Following the release of the first-look images yesterday, Lionsgate has now released the trailer for director Francis Lawrence’s forthcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s dystopian horror novel The Long Walk.

The film stars Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus), Garrett Wareing (Manifest), Tut Nyout (The Witcher: Blood Origin), Charlie Plummer (The First Lady), Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends), Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo Rabbit), Jordan Gonzalez (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Joshua Odjick (Welcome to Derry), Josh Hamilton (The Walking Dead), Judy Greer (Halloween), and Mark Hamill (Star Wars).

From the eagerly awaited adaptation of Stephen King’s inaugural novel and directed by visionary Francis Lawrence, known for The Hunger Games franchise (Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Parts 1 & 2, and The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), comes THE LONG WALK, a gripping, eerie, and emotional thriller that compels audiences to face a haunting question: how far would you go?

In The Long Walk, the nation hosts an annual walking competition where 100 teenagers must walk non-stop and adhere to strict rules until only one survives and claims a reward. The narrative centers on a 16-year-old contestant named Raymond Garraty and the various teens—some good, some bad, and some enigmatic—surrounding him.

The Long Walk is scheduled for release on September 12, 2025.
