Following the release of the poster for The Old Guard 2 yesterday, Netflix has now revealed the first trailer for the action sequel. In this installment, Charlize Theron’s character Andy and her team of immortal warriors find themselves hunted by a mysterious villain, portrayed by Uma Thurman, who appears to know all about them. Andy (Charlize Theron) and her group of immortal fighters return, now driven by a renewed mission to safeguard the world. With Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) still exiled for his betrayal, and Quynh (Veronica Ngô) seeking vengeance after escaping her underwater confinement, Andy faces the challenge of her newfound mortality as a hidden threat emerges that could jeopardize all she has strived for over millennia. Andy, along with Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli), and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), seeks the assistance of Tuah (Henry Golding), an old friend who might hold the key to unraveling the mystery surrounding their immortality.
The Old Guard 2 features the return of Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, and Veronica Ngô, with new additions including Uma Thurman and Henry Golding.
The Old Guard 2 will be available on Netflix starting July 2nd.
