Fallout has not yet launched its second season, but Prime Video is already looking ahead to a third. With several months remaining until Fallout Season 2 debuts, the streaming service has announced an early renewal for a third season. This announcement was made during its upfront presentation, where series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins were in attendance.
“We're extremely excited that our global Prime Video customers will have the chance to explore the wonderfully surreal and engaging world of Fallout in more depth,” said Vernon Sanders, Amazon MGM Studios' global head of television. “Jonah [Nolan], Lisa [Joy], Geneva [Robertson-Dworet], and Graham [Wagner] have done a remarkable job of bringing this beloved video game franchise to life on Prime Video. Along with our incredible partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we're pleased to announce a third season of Fallout, well in advance of the eagerly awaited second season premiere.”
“The holidays have come a bit early this year — we're excited to be destroying the world once more with a third season of Fallout,” executive producers Nolan and Joy stated. “On behalf of our fantastic cast and crew, and our showrunners Geneva and Graham, along with our partners at Bethesda, we thank our amazing collaborators at Amazon MGM Studios and our wonderful fans as we continue our journeys through the wasteland together.”
Despite Season 2 still being unlaunched, Prime Video has experienced significant success with the series. According to the platform, Fallout garnered 65 million views globally within the first 16 days of its release, eventually surpassing 100 million views. In just one season, it has become one of the top three series on Prime Video to date.
