Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones is slated to return to the MCU in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

      The Netflix Daredevil era is still with us, and now everything is coming together for the upcoming Disney+ series. Following the introduction of the universe in Daredevil: Born Again, a vital component has returned with Jessica Jones. It was announced at the Disney upfront presentation that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role.

      Ritter appeared alongside Daredevil star Charlie Cox during the announcement; however, it remains unconfirmed if fellow Defenders Mike Colter, who played Luke Cage, and Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, will also join the reunion.

      Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of television and animation, commented, “It’s about not rushing and telling the best story. Yes, it’s exciting to imagine characters interacting, but we have to consider the reasons behind it. At times we’ve executed this well; at times we’ve rushed. The story must dictate the direction.”

      Daredevil: Born Again has a lot to address, as the first season concluded on a significant cliffhanger. Crime lord Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) has ascended to power, prompting Matt Murdock (Cox) to go underground and seek help from allies to thwart Fisk and his anti-vigilante task force.

      No release date has been announced for the second season yet, but it is anticipated for 2026.
