Ana de Armas is set to join Tom Cruise in Doug Liman's film Deeper.
After being featured in numerous tabloid articles in recent weeks, Deadline reports that Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise are teaming up for Deeper, an underwater supernatural thriller created by Cruise alongside his Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman.
Deeper has been in development in Hollywood for nearly ten years and is based on a spec script by Max Landis (Chronicle), although it is believed that Christopher McQuarrie, who directed Cruise in Mission: Impossible, has been refining the script.
The film, which Liman has previously referred to as a "scary movie," will depict Cruise as an astronaut who encounters a terrifying presence while exploring an uncharted trench. Both Cruise and de Armas are reportedly undergoing essential diving training for the role, which is expected to be Cruise's next project.
